My name is Mrs. Heather N. Lorenz. I am the Technology and Research Coordinator at PS 220.
Here's a little about me...
My childhood...
I am the middle of three girls. My older sister is also a teacher and my younger sister is currently a student at Queens College.
I was born at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY
My parents raised me in Rego Park, NY (they still live there today).
My career..
I began teaching in 2005 after 10 years of working in the medical field. My first school, PS 197, is located in Far Rockaway, NY and is part of District 27. After 2 years there, I was able to get a transfer into my current school, PS 220 (District 28), located in Forest Hills, NY. I have taught in the general education classroom, as well as in a CTT classroom. I have worked with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.
My family today...
On May 10, 2008, I got married to Adam Lorenz. We currently live in Whitestone, NY with our 2 dogs (Marley and Sydney) and our 2 cats (Lexus and Sam)... they certainly take up a lot of time!

Sydney is a pitbull/hound/shepherd mix. She'll be 5 in August 2009
Marley is a black lab mix. She'll be 3 in March 2010
Lexus is a tortoise cat. She's at least 10 years old.
